Erica Smyth
Board Director

Ms Smyth has a BSc with Honours in Geology from the University of Western Australia, an applied Masters in Science from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

She is currently also Chairman of Toro Energy Ltd, Scitech and the Diabetes Research Foundation. She is a Board Director for various organisations including, the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation and the Centre for Sustainable Resource Processing.

Ms Smyth’s current focus as a board director follows on from a successful career as a senior executive in the mining and petroleum industry.

Andrew Lewis
Director and Writer

Andrew has extensive experience in directing film, television and theatre. He has directed numerous short films including the award winning AFC funded short Calling Gerry Molloy. He has directed episodes of the series Sleepover Club, Streetsmartz, Parallax, Something in the Air, Home and Away, Ocean Star, Snobs, Going Home, Breakers and Pacific Drive. He has also produced, directed and written documentary and magazine programs for the ABC. Andrew is a directing graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and holds two Masters degrees one in Film and TV Directing from The Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and the other in Film and Theatre Studies from the University of New South Wales. Andrew is currently the Program Director of Performance at WAAPA and the Associate Director of the WA Screen Academy.

Robyn Kershaw
Producer

Robyn is an independent producer whose credits include the feature films Bran Nue Dae and Looking For Alibrandi (which won 5 AFI awards in 2000 including Best Film and grossed 8.3million domestically) and the AWGIE award winning television series Bondi Banquet and Effie Just Quietly. As the former Head of Drama and Narrative Comedy at the ABC she commissioned and executive produced over 100 hours of programming, including the hit comedy series, Kath and Kim (series I, II & III), International Emmy nominated MDA (series I & II), Fireflies (telemovie and series), the telemovies Secret Bridesmaids' Business, Loot and the mini series, Marking Time, Shark Net and the short feature The Forest.

While General Manager of Belvoir St. Theatre, Robyn produced the work of Australia's most prominent composers, designers, writers, directors and actors including Geoffrey Rush, Toni Colette, Lindy Davies, John Clarke, Catherine Martin, Alan John, Barrie Kosky, Neil Armfield and Jack Davis and the only Australian production of internationally acclaimed director/writer Mike Leigh.

Robyn studied at Murdoch University and the Australian Film Television and Radio School and has served on the Board of the Australian Film Finance Corporation.

Catherine Ferrari
General Manager, Communications, Water Corporation

Ms Ferrari is currently General Manager, Communications - Water Corporation. She was formerly Chief Executive of WA Symphony Orchestra and was formerly State Director of CPA Australia. Ms Ferrari is Director of the West Australian Opera.

Joan Peters
Lawyer; Executive Producer

Joan is an entertainment lawyer with a BA degree majoring in film and literature. She has her own practice and has been actively involved with the WA film and television industry for a significant period, executive producing several WA poductions. Joan offers the Australian film and television industry the benefit of being a lawyer with substantial practical experience in film and television production and financing.

Alan Lindsay
Producer, Writer, Director and Managing Director of Vue DC Pty Ltd.

Employing experience earned over 39 years in broadcast production and 19 years as managing director of production company Vue Group, Alan has over 140 productions, documentary and drama to his credit as writer, producer and/or director. In October 2009 Vue Group will open a new facility in Bunbury in the South West. Here the group will have a lead animation and visual effects studio, a production facility and (in 50/50 partnership with ISA Technologies), the Australian Centre for Digital Innovation (ACDI). The new facility will run in parallel with the Vue Group’s documentary and drama production and will be the home for Vue Group’s new feature film ventures. Vue Group also has a Melbourne production company and the ACDI has shop fronts in Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Manchester.

Stephen Langsford

Stephen is a Western Australian businessman and entrepreneur having founded successful businesses in a number of high growth sectors including information technology, new media and entertainment. Stephen has a finance and business management background and enjoys working in start-up and high growth environments.

Stephen is Founder and Executive Director of Quickflix Limited, Australia’s leading online movie rental company listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX:QFX).

In 1998 Stephen founded Method + Madness, a pioneering internet and e-business group which was later acquired by ASX listed Sausage Software (later renamed SMS Management & Technology). Stephen was a member of the Executive Committee of SMS Management & Technology until 2002. In 2002 Stephen founded Change Corporation a consulting, technology and venturing group of which he was Executive Chairman until it was acquired by ASX listed CSG Limited in December 2007.

Michelle White is a multi-award winning journalist with more than 20 years experience in television and radio. She is a former Series Producer for the ABC TV Indigenous series Message Stick . Michelle has worked on a variety of ABC programs including TV News Perth, The 7.30 Report, Australian Story and Blackout. Her radio credits include Awaye! on Radio National and four year stint as the WA representative for The Morning Show on Triple J. Michelle is a passionate supporter of the arts and spent three years as the Marketing Manager for Yirra Yaakin Aboriginal Corporation . Her latest challenge is the CEO of Noongar Media Enterprise, the company behind Perth’s Aboriginal community broadcaster, 100.9fm Noongar Radio.
