Details:

The Perth Actors Collective (PAC) Script Lab will be hosting a free public reading of Perth writer Sarah Rossetti's comedy feature film "The Catch" on November 4, 2009.  If you have a love for behind-the-scenes film development, then come along for a free night's entertainment with complimentary wine and nibbles, and the opportunity to mingle with Sarah.

Winner of four AWGIES (Australian Writers' Guild national awards), a Lotteries Commission Award for Film Excellence (for Pilbara Pearl) and a WA Premier's Award, as well as the What If Award for Best Emerging Australian Talent in 2000, Sarah Rossetti is no stranger to the industry.

Her latest work, The Catch is a Canada-meets-Australia comic drama spin off from Lobster Tales, a documentary about WA's crayfish industry that screened on the ABC in 2000.

When Hank, a small-time Canadian television producer goes fishing down under, Shane, a debt-driven Aussie lobster fisherman unwittingly trades places with him.  Shane fishes for finance at Banff Film Festival parading as Hank, leaving the furious Hank to play catch-up with Shane's Decky-would-be-actress girlfriend, Jess, in tow.
