Closing date: Western Australian Business and Arts Partnership Awards nominations

Where: When: 07-Jul-08 05:00 PM until 07-Jul-08 05:00 PM
Details:

Filmmakers who have recently teamed up with a business are encouraged to recognise their partners' support of the industry by nominating them in the Western Australian Business and the Arts Partnership Awards (WABAPA).  Nominations for these prestigious State awards close on Monday, July 7.

The WABAPAs are designed - not to reward investments for return or cash gifts - but rather to recognise a partnership with a mutual exchange of benefits between an arts organisation and a business that has contributed and will reap benefits from involvement with your project.

Past Awards winners include BHP Billiton Iron Ore for supporting the feature film Japanese Story by supplying key locations, vehicles, uniforms and human resources and investing in screening launches in Perth and the Pilbara.

Awards winners will be presented by the Minister for Culture and the Arts with a trophy created by a WA artist at a gala showcase event on Friday, 24 October.

Nominations booklets can be downloaded from the website, or are available from the Department of Culture and the Arts, Level 7, Law Chambers Building, 573 Hay St, Perth.
