Overview

Western Australia: fresh, unique, diverse, vast...

Western Australia offers some of the world's most dramatic, spectacular and versatile film locations that span temperate, tropical and arid climates.

The State of Western Australia is renowned for its crystal clear blue skies, long days of brilliant sunshine and diverse scenery. Covering a vast area approximately five times the size of Texas, the total population of this unique State is just over two million people.

The San Diego-style capital city of Perth, with its green parks and heritage churches, is set on the majestic expanse of the Swan River and located only minutes from beautiful beaches, historical buildings and quaint towns. Light traffic allows easy access around the city and to key locations.

Western Australia is a film-friendly location for commercial productions and feature films with minimal location fees, professional facilities, award-winning crew and collaborative funding opportunities.

Sharing the same time band as many cities in Asia (ie Beijing, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipai) and ideally located, Perth is the closest Australian capital city to many Asian countries.
