Peter Templeman’s directorial debut opens this Thursday
Peter Templeman has been awarded for a variety of short films in recent years and now has his first feature debut. His short film, The Saviour was nominated for an Academy Award and he has also received a BAFTA nomination for an episode of the television series, Lockie Leonard. Peter is also the only filmmaker to win the Slamdance Grand Jury award for Best Short Film in two consecutive years with shorts, Splintered and The Saviour.
Among the awards is Academy Award nomination for comedy short The Saviour and BAFTA nominated episode Ladder of Love which was part of television series Lockie Leonard.
Not Suitable For Children tells the story of Jonah (Kwanten), a freewheeling guy in the prime of his life. Joining Jonah are his best friends who embark on a crazy caper to help him sow his seed after he is diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Perth's Abbe May features in the film soundtrack along with The Black Keys, The Gorillaz, Black Joe Lewis and a breakout performance from Sarah Snook who plays ‘Stevie'.
Not Suitable For Children opens at Luna Leederville, Luna SX Fremantle, Hoyts Carousel and Grand Cinemas on Thursday, 12 July 2012.
