‘Who’s Been Sleeping in My House’ nominated for C21/Frapa Format Awards
Acclaimed WA documentary series, ‘Who's Been Sleeping in my House?' has been nominated under the Best Factual Entertainment Format category at the C21/Frapa Format Awards. C21 Media is an international publishing company and digital channels business, promoting content via the C21 website, magazines, online screenings portal, internet TV division, conferences and reports. FTI seeking full-time ICS Manager: Closing date 31 October

Jules Duncan wins FTI’s State Pitching competition
Congratulations to Jules Duncan who was announced as the winner of the WA State Pitching Competition at the Film & Television Institute (FTI) last Thursday, 27 September 2012. Acclaimed LINK short film, ‘Crosshairs' has picked up its 9th festival award winning Best Drama at the New York City Short Film Festival. Indigenous mini documentary initiative: Deadline 29 October
ScreenWest, in partnership with the ABC are inviting Western Australian Indigenous filmmakers to explore positive and inspirational story ideas encapsulating the theme of ‘Seasons' for a new mini documentary initiative commissioned for ABC TV. LINK funding deadline approaching: Thursday, 11 October
The LINK initiative is funded by ScreenWest and managed by the Film & Television Institute (FTI) to promote short film and feature film production in Western Australia. LINK aims to develop creative teams, filmmaking skills, and the financial and project management skills required of early career independent filmmakers within professional industry standards. ‘Ferals’ voted ‘most likely project to be shared’ at Screenwest's Digital Workshop
The recent digital workshop, ‘From Here to Fraternity' brought together a great mix of Western Australian film, television and digital creatives at a free full day workshop which took place on Friday, 21 September 2012. Participants worked in small groups lead by industry professionals to learn new skills by putting a project through its paces. After much hard work by all, accompanied by furious networking, participants voted on the project they would be most likely to share, with the ‘Stepford Wives' team at the fore with ‘Ferals', by Bridget Curran and Karen Farmer. Screen Australia publishing directory for WCSFP
Screen Australia will be publishing a directory of Australian producers attending the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP) this year. The booklet will be inserted in all delegate bags as well as published online and emailed to international executives before the market. Flickerfest: Last chance to enter
Entries for the 2013 Flickerfest International Short Film Festival close this Friday, 5 October 2012. Submission is open to short films in the categories, International, Documentary, Australian and the out of competition categories, Greenflicks and Flickerup. Flickerfest is Australia's only Academy Accredited and BAFTA recognised Short Film festival and takes place over 10 days at Bondi Beach in January before touring around the country on a 40 venue national tour.
